TreasureTress March Box Review!

To all my curly head’s within the UK or even internationally; you NEED to get on board with TreasureTress who are a UK based company that supply you with a monthly subscription box of natural treats for your curls.

This months box was dedicated to Mother’s Day and was curated by @HeyCurlie who is a US based Natural Hair Blogger!

As this is my first box, I’m going to review the products but also TreasureTress as a company and my experience with them thus far.

I found out about TreasureTress through a couple of other curly-heads based in the UK. It honestly didn’t take me a long time to jump on board with them and get my monthly subscription going, as I was instantly sold on them as a company. They provide really great quality products for natural hair and I also love the idea that they team up with natural hair bloggers as well.

This month’s box was dedicated to the ultimate twist out, with products from Creme of Nature, Shea Moisture, Twisted Sista and Design Essentials.

The Creme of Nature products included the Curl Repair Leave-In Conditioning Cream which has a thick, white consistency but when infused into the hair it leaves your hair moisturised and smelling a-m-a-z-i-n-g! A big bonus for Leave-In products is the scent of them and I honestly can’t begin to describe how great this particular product smells. In addition to the Leave-In Cream, the TreasureTress box also includes the Creme of Nature Moisture Curl Hair Milk-again, smells amazing!

With these two products alone I was quite satisfied, as I’ve been meaning to purchase a new Leave-In conditioner and I’ve never tried any of the Creme of Nature products (Shocking-I know!) I’m naturally quite set in my way when it comes to trying products so if something works for me, I don’t tend to see what else is on the market. Saying this, a monthly box of goodies is a great way to actually see what’s out there on the market, see what other curly-heads are raving about and dabble in products that potentially might be hard for you to get your hands on, on an everyday basis. Being that I live on the South Coast, I’m limited to the kinds of products I can purchase in my local Superdrugs or Boots so therefore having a monthly box from TreasureTress is quite helpful!

But…I’m not done yet. Another product which surprisingly I haven’t tried yet, is the Shea Moisture Leave-In Treatment which includes Coconut Milk and Acacia Senegal which means in consistency it’s quite thin but never-the-less, still does exactly what a Leave-In treatment should do. With it being thin in consistency I’d say use sparingly, as a lot really does go a long way!

Along with the Creme of Nature and Shea Moisture Products, another fabulous product inside the box was the Twisted Sista nourishing sleek edge gel which includes coconut, avocado and almond oils. (With that kind of combo it’s a guarantee that the product will be nourishing!) Yet again, another product which smells a-m-a-z-i-n-g! I’ve always loved Twisted Sista as they are a really great, affordable brand that is UK based. This product really does sleek your edges well and it doesn’t leave your edges looking overly shiny (to the point that they could look greasy.) It does the job well, smells amazing whilst nourishing your edges which I think anyone could agree makes this a 10/10 product!

As bonus products, the March box also includes some mini Design Essentials Almond and Avocado Moisturising & Detangling Sulfate-Free Shampoo as well as the Detangling Leave-In Conditioner. If you are an ‘on the move’ kind of person, these are great to throw in your bag and be on your way!

Last but not least, the box also includes some pink perm rods to help achieve the perfect twist out.

I think that this month’s box was a great pick of a variety of different products from brands that I can only speak highly of thus far! The box also comes with a card to help you with directions and talks you through the steps of how to use each product and in which order, which I think is a nice touch, especially for those who are starting out on their natural hair journey and don’t really have a clue how certain products are used!

Overall, I still am extremely excited about the products as I’ve been using these products now for a week, and there’s been a noticeable difference to the texture and moisture of my curls-I’ve even received a few compliments from some of my colleagues at work which is always a nice touch!

I personally think that the TreasureTress concept is great for those who don’t get access to some of these products easily, those who don’t have the time to source out these products or even just simply those who don’t even know where to begin when it comes to certain products and the ways in which you can use them.

Another bonus about TreasureTress is that I’ve found through my interactions with them on social media that they are always responsive and that kind of communication is important when building and maintaining relationships with your customers.

10 out of 10 for TreasureTress overall!
